Cornwall, England

You can watch this blog in a bigger format here

This past weekend Stephanie and I took a last minute vacation to Cornwall. Cornwall is in the South West of England and is very similar to San Diego. They are lucky enough to get a weird tropical jet stream that makes the weather really nice, and warm! Where we stayed, Penzance, was a small business based town that is located near the other major sights.

The first full day we were there we visited the small town of St. Ives. It was beautiful. Words can not describe the beauty here. The area has a similar look to Monterey but insted of deep dark water there is a beautiful hue of tropical blue. Of course, this makes the water look much more inviting than it really is, it was still was attractive enough for me to jump in! We spent the day walking around the town, visiting art galleries and eating way too much food. The pictures are much better at showing how beautiful St. Ives is, I will just stop before my similies for "beautiful" run together.

The second day we headed over to St. Michael's Mount. Its a weird island, but not island place in the next town over. It expensive to get into the castle on the Mount so we just walked around and people watched. Later, I got hungry and ate muscels off the beach... it grossed Stephanie out. That was probably the best part, watching her reaction to it. After eating muscles we had a nice little show of watching people wade back from the island during the rise of the tide. It was funny... no, it was histerical.

We really enjoyed our weekend and amazing we also enjoyed our 6 hour train ride back home It was much better than waiting in security and dealing with the hassle of flying. So in the end we learned that train=good, fly=pain in the butt.

Stay tuned next week for my blog from Copenhagen! I will be staying with a friend from school so I will be able to get the local's perspective on Copenhagen. See you then!
